Is the $400 state fee included in the total?
Yes. The standard total is $1,395: $995 for our assistance plus the $400 one-year DIR fee. Existing Federal Bid Partners clients pay $1,145 total: $745 for assistance plus the same $400 state fee. Any penalties or additional work are outside these totals.
Can I register directly with DIR?
Yes. You can use the official California DIR registration website
yourself and pay the applicable state fees. Our optional service provides preparation, administrative assistance, and follow-up.
How long is the registration valid?
A one-year registration covers the state fiscal year, July 1 through June 30, rather than 12 months from the day you register. DIR also offers eligible contractors multi-year terms. We’ll confirm the term and government fee before proceeding.
What if I have a deadline or an expired registration?
Include the deadline and current status in your inquiry. We’ll review the situation before confirming the scope. State penalties may apply; we cannot waive them or promise a processing date.
Does this include certified payroll or licensing?
This service covers DIR registration administration. Certified payroll, prevailing-wage compliance, licensing, insurance, and bid preparation are separate services or responsibilities. Your company remains responsible for meeting applicable requirements.
